OWL'S NEST. Art project for Burning Man 2019. Concept art and production of the art object. The idea and inspiration came from 5 years of wandering the playa at night and trying to find some warm, quiet and chill place to escape for a moment a madness of the event. To think about whats going on with your life and where are you headed. I couldn't find one, so we decided to build it ourselves. We thought that NEST should be a cozy stop for a couple, but in the end, we got reports of 7 people meeting sunrise there, which came as a shock to us.  The nest is made out of driftwood collected by hand at a beach in Pacific Northwest, on a steel frame held together by a ton of screws. OWL'S NEST shines at night with 20 meters of warm yellow rope light. OWL'S NEST is heated by warming blankets.
